Cultural Committee (Bunka-Bu) was officially within the
Okinawa Association of America, Inc. (Kenjinkai) during the
early part of the century. The purpose is to preserve and
promote the Okinawan culture, including Okinawan performing
arts, the Okinawan
dialect (Uchinaguchi), Okinawa's history, and the unique
cuisine of the islands. These goals are accomplished by
partnering with other committees and through lecture series
held throughout the year.

directing entertainment program for the annual New Years Party
Utayabira Uduyabira (“Let’s Sing,” “Let’s Dance”) - held every
Participation in the Annual Nisei Week Parade
the entertainment program of Keiro-Kansha-No-Hi (Senior
