Computer
Class Committee
The Computer
Class began on September 7, 2011 under OAA President, Kimiko
Goya, with the support of the Kamiya family and several
volunteers, including Chairperson Joan Oshiro. The founding of
the Computer Class initiated her dream of helping our senior
members enter the world of technology through the use of
computers and all of its capabilities: creating Word documents,
finding information on the Internet, Excel, E-mail, Skype,
Youtube, street directions, saving and sending photos, creating
address labels, Japanese newspaper access, finding songs for
Karaoke practice, photos of Ikebana arrangements, and the list
goes on and on.
is unique in that individualized instruction is given and taught
in both English and simple Japanese. All computers have been
installed with Japanese language software.
This class is open to OAA members only. If you are not a member,
you can contact the OAA at (310) 532-1929 or via email at
oaamensore@gmail.com for membership information.
